Toronto Rediculousness

Yesterday I decided to stop being a bad sister and finally make the visit to see my brother, Ben, at his new place in Toronto. He lives just off Bloor West near High Park, so to pass the time we took a stroll down Bloor and wandered around the shops. It was great to spend time with Ben and we didn't have one fight!! Amazing...I know! On our stroll we saw lots of really cute dogs, but the best by far had to be the little toy Yorkie with the little pink bow in its hair, the pink sweater, and the fact that it was sitting in a STROLLER!!! I'm not joking! The dog had a stroller, and not some crappy one...it was actually a really nice one! Hysterical!
After our wander we chilled out at Ben's for a while, then Adro came over and the three of us went for a (OK, a few) beer at this Kiwi place...that didn't take Visa! What bar doesn't take credit cards?!? How is that even possible???? Anyway, it was a lot of fun, but I got a little tipsy (I need to get back to Ireland...I am so embarrassed of my loss of drinking abilities!). After that we went back to Ben's again and Leah was there so we had a few more beers, watched some funny YouTube stuff, had some pizza, stopped drinking, watched a movie and then I headed home. I love that I can visit Ben and that (hopefully) him and Joel and Leah will come up to Guelph for a night...oh my god...can you imagine???

Weekend of a thousand Amys

Actually, it was just a weekend of two Amys...on Friday night I went to Kitchener to party down with Heidi, Sheena and Adro at their former colleague's house, Amy. It was a great night of drinks, BBQ, and talk.

Year of the finger heart!

Amy, our hostess with the mostess

Sheena laughing at something funny I said

Oh no! Scary Cheese slice Eye!!

I could really be Canada's Next Top Model!

Seriously...look how I work it!

Mmmmm...Hot Dogs

Adrian & Sheena just having a few drinks

On Saturday night, it was off to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a house party with our other friend Amy. Such a great party, however I did have a little too much to drink. Unfortunately I ended up feeling a little under the weather all day Sunday and couldn't drive back to Guelph until late in the afternoon....so worth it though!

My Return to Doogies

For anyone who knows me at all, you know that my favourite place to go to in Guelph is Doogie's. Its always got amazing music and good drinks (ok, well the drinks are pretty standard but they have them!) so of course my first Saturday night back in Guelph had to be spent there! Heidi and Sheena came up from Mac and my roommate Milena came with us too...so much fun!!!

Lily Allen

I was watching The Hour last night with George Stromponopolous (so NOT the right spelling but whatever) and Lily Allen was on and she said that she hates googling herself and seeing all these bad postings about her...so in case she googles herself again, I wanted there to be something nice about her to read. So here goes...
Lily Allen is an amazingly talented singer/songwriter and I love her album. I also love that she is so sassy and speaks her mind.

that's all...thanks for reading,
Love me

The New Adventures

I know that I have been back in the country for 4 months now, and I have loved being with Mum & Dad in Thunder Bay, I never felt settled. So on Sunday April 29 I packed up Cricket (my little red Aveo) and started the journey south. After 1585.1km & 23 CDs I finally made it back to Guelph. I have no job, but I have a great sublet for the summer and am open to new adventures.

I don't know what this blog is going to turn into, but I wanted to do something different then my travel blog. Check back whenever for random thoughts and funny stories and I'll be sure to try and keep you entertained.
